STATE LEVEL WORKSHOP ON SCREEN PLAY

           

 In St.Xavier’s college the visual communication students had State level workshop on screen play for two days from 23.02.2016 to 24.02.2016. On 23^rd morning The Inauguration function of the workshop was held in the Department of Visual communication at St.Xavier’s college. Mr.Anto Kingsly the coordinator of the department of visual communication, Professors Mr.Vijay Rathina Kumar, Mr.Santhosh Kumar and Mr.doulous newbegin were presented in the Function. Miss.J.P Josephine Baba arranged this workshop. The Chief Guest is Mr.Bala Subramani,film director. He worked as the assistant director to Mr.Balu Mahendran in the film “THALAIMURAIKAL”. He is one of the student of Mr.Balu Mahendran’s institution. At present he is a freelance Advertising Director. The entire inauguration function was executed by the second year visual communication students. The prayer song was sung by Mr.Abish Vignesh. Ms.Keren Soruba gave a wonderful welcome speech. Mr.Antony Prince delivered a great introduction of the Chief Guest Mr.Bala Subramani. Rev.Dr.Fr.Sahaya raj S.J the vice principal of St.Xavier’s college inaugurated the workshop with an excellent speech.­­ And Fr.Sahaya raj S.J presented a momentum to the Chief Guest. A thought provoking speech was given by Mr.Bala Subramani, the chief guest. Finally Ms.Hari Kamini Devi delivered the vote of thanks.
                 

             Mr.Bala Subramani shared the structure and the elements of screen play with multiple examples and through books, movies as well as his industry experiences. The visual communication students had interactive session on discussing the essential elements of screen play through the movies “THE PASSION OF CHRIST and THE CITY OF GOD”. Especially he also marked some of the important keynotes of Mr.Balu Mahendran on screen play. He was very sociable and an inspiring person to all of us.
