Experience as a Visual communication Student

                          I’m Antony Prince, a Visual communication student of St.Xavier’s College, Palayamkotai in the year of 2014 – 2017. I would like to thank my Head of the department Rev. Fr. Xavier Antony S.J, Mr. Anto Kinsley and Rev. Fr. Infant Kinsley S.J. My Professors are Mr. Vijay, Mrs. Josephine Mary, Mr. Sahaya babu, Mr. Santhosh Kumar, Mr.Doulous and Ms. Reenu Maria.

In the year of (2014 - 2015), I joined B.sc Visual Communication. It’s an honor to say that I am a Xaverian.  

                                                                                        

             The first visit was that we met the students of Florescence of Deaf and Dum School. Though they cannot speak or hear, they persuaded many talents.  We interacted with them by using interpersonal communication (face to face communication). 

                         In the morning time of the college, we were asked to watch short films and discussing on that which helped to see many short films and know how to criticize. We also have done cartoon art on different types of communication. I started writing in Blog Spot. I spent lot of time in college browsing center and college library. I developed reading and witting skills.  We had face painting work shop in which we painted on our friends face about social issues.

                     

                       In the second year of my college life is full of Practical papers and learning software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe illustrator, Adobe in design also Photography, Short film making. We got an opportunity to visit the Noochikulam village for our STAND program. We had four field visit and one camp in that village. I was coordinating that one day camp. I was very much inspirited by Noochikulam people’s hospitality. They treated me as one of their family member.

I did a short film that’s supporting formers. At the end of my second year I did my internship in 3G channel which is in Vallioor. I learnt to set program in that channel and about Adobe After Effect software. During this time I started my You Tube Channels named ANTONY PRINCE.

                    Third year of my college life went on super fast. While street play workshop I learnt to think using emotional and available properties for street play. In the month of December and January for the second internship, I did in PUTHIYA THALAI MURAI magazine at Chennai. There I met many writers, social activist, celebrities. I came to know that reporting or journalism is just to fill the layouts. I created my second you tube channel and named KOMALI. We contacted ART BEAT function among visual communication students from various colleges. In the last semester we went to visit Chitharal Jain Temple at Marthandam recording art and visual aesthetic paper.  I made a simple and short documentary film about that Jain temple and published in my channel. We also visited Slum clearance apartment in Reddyarpatti. I couldn’t bear their sufferings so I made a video which describes their life style, problems, education, cleanliness, job, etc and published in my channel.
